Apter International Network Story

 

Apter International was founded in the UK in 1996 by Steve Carter and Marie Shelton to bring together the revolutionary psychological insights and discoveries of Dr Michael Apter to the world of work – Reversal Theory. From the start we have wanted to be pioneering to what we do, rigorous and evidence based in how we achieve and always spirited and passionate in our endeavour to help organisations compete in the volatile and changing environments we live and work in.

Very much aware of the excitement and fun of doing something innovative and different we have constantly challenged ourselves to show how this practically changes things for the better.

In 2000 we opened offices in Washington USA. These are headed up by Dr Mitzi Desselles who joined us after holding senior research positions with DDB Needham and Exxon Mobil.

In October 2007, we decided to split the company into 3 seperate entities:
