The Apter Motivational Style Profile (AMSP) provides insight into the importance of different motivations within an individual’s life. Rather than telling them who they are, it indicates how the employee might change to become more effective and fulfilled at work.
The AMSP has now been used in many organisations across a wide range of industries to improve performance and well-being, both as a coaching tool and as a tool for developing people in groups.
Profiling tools for Leadership and Management Development
The AMSP and management development share a rich history of application, and indeed it is a core tool for the management development programmes that Apter Development run with clients.
Creating a climate for high performance is the key role of a leader. The Apter Leadership Profiling System (ALPS) is a powerful 180° instrument that measures not what the leader does, but how they impact upon their team (their microclimate), across 8 key conditions. It is completed by both the leader and the team that they lead, offering unique insight into both.
Profiling tools that make Organisational Change easier
Modern organisations require everyone to be adaptable to change. The Apter Change Agent Profile (ACAP) highlights a change leader’s motivational orientation to dealing with change, and how this impacts against four key strands found in all successful change: Initiation, Organisation, Implementation and Impact. The ACAP has been used to develop networks of change agentsat all levels.
In addition to ACAP, the Apter Work Impact System (AWIS; below) has been used to assess potential motivational barriers and drivers of change and develop change interventions.
